Has anyone done one of these cruises this year? (The CET 7star Signature Event cruise). I would appreciate any info about it. I have cruised NCL Dawn before for my 7star annual cruise benefit, but not for the signature event. Will be on the Dec 7th sailing on the Dawn out of nola. The other sailing out of nola for a 7star signature event doesnt return until tomorrow. I will be interested to hear what they have to say. Thanks for the info everyone!!!

Wanted to bump this thread back to the front b/c a bunch of us will be on the Dawn 12/7 to 12/14 as part of a CET 7 star event. I also would be interested in hearing from anyone who just got off the 11/23 to 11/30 Dawn Cruise who were part of a similar 7 star group. How was the pre cruise party at Harrah's NOLA? And in general what were the overall experience and what can we expect?

Both on the cruise and in regards to the ports of call. Any thoughts along these lines would be appreciated.

Hopefully it's better than the 7Star cruise that I read about back in Sept from NYC on the Gem.

Caesar's dropped the ball on that.

MANY unhappy 7Stars.

ie: a lady needed a handicap room. somebody at Caesar's booked her a regular room instead. she called them back saying that Gem's deck plans says that room isn't a handicap room.

Caesar's said it was and not to worry.

Well, it wasn't a handicapped room. Her scooter couldn't even fit thru the front door of the room. (she just had hip surgery and cant walk.)

and of course all the handicapped rooms were booked.

There was also other things like the Caesar's rented buses dropping them blocks from the pier so they had to walk to the ship.

imagine elderly people w/mobility problems lugging their suitcases.

(Caesar's provided free transportation from Atlantic City.)

Well I finaly open my luggage gift. It was Samsonite, but a 3 peice set. A 21 and 26 inch roller with 2 wheels and a hanging bag.

Wow. You got a little better set than we did. You must be a higher level 7 star. The set we got is an off brand and has more pieces. But, it is an entry level set. But, hey it was a gift from CET and we will use it at some point and until I heard several months back they were giving a set away as part of the 7 star event I was not expecting it.

We just got a call from our casino host in Las Vegas who books our trips when we go there. He saw our name on the list and wanted to let us know he was going to be on our cruise. So I guess in addition to all of the 7 star players there are going to be quite a few CET hosts and other personnel along for the ride as well.

Yes they are samsonite, but only 2 wheels, not the spinners. I would have prefered the 5 peice set so could have gotten a new small shoulder carryon bag. I already have a nice 21 inch spinner samsonite that I got at the 7star renewal dinner a year or so ago. Well, happy to have gotten anything. It was a nice surprize.

I hope the ship casino isnt too packed with all us 7stars. Its a small casino.

When I called to ask them a question they told me that one whole department was gone on that 7* cruise (the one a couple of weeks ago). So that means there will be more than 250 cabins of us! I wish they would hurry up and get me a new on site host in Vegas. Mine left with no notice last month. I am going to be out there for New Years and find it so much easier to have one on site. At least I still have my overall host. She is great!!

I wish we could trade out. LOL I love the Samsonite without the spinner wheels. I got the other set. It is like one of those you get for $50 on Black Friday. I am not complaining though because I can always use luggage!!

Cyndi, I will introduce you to our Vegas casino Sat. night at the Bon Voyage party in you would like. We have 2 hosts in Vegas as well. We have one that we see occasionally that makes contact with us at Paris while we are playing and the other, the one that is coming on this cruise, who we deal with on the phone that books all of our Vegas trips who basically does everything for us, that we have never met. It was a pleasant surprise to get the phone call from him and to learn he was going to be on our cruise and that we are going to be able to finally meet him.

We are looking forward to meeting you as well. So far we have the Builtwells, CRAustin, Tigcat45, you and us that I am aware of that are 7 star members and that are also part of the cruise critic group. I have met the Builtwells, really nice people by the way, I will recognize you Cyndi b/c I have seen your picture on your website, I believe we should be able to find CRAustin at the bon voyage party Sat. night, but Tigcat how will we recognize you? If any of you bump into us we are both in our mid 50's, and our lanyards will say Karen and James Folmar, Bullard, Texas.

Im in my limo, on way to Harrahs Nola now!! Very excited!!

Wow, looks like you are going to get an early start. We will not get there until tomorrow afternoon. Hope you do well at the casino and that we will be able to meet you at the bon voyage party.

Just checked into room at Harrahs Nola. No suite, prob because lots of 7stars. And desk guy said varying levels of 7stars. Got an envelope at check in with 2 luggage tags and 2 lanyards. Lanyards just say Seven Stars Signature Event, no names or home towns. I am in my late 30's, tall, dark long hair. I am usually the youngest at these events.

Oh, and the luggage tags are brown color, but blank space for name and room number. I sailed the Dawn out of Tampa in April with the same itinerary, in a suite. My suite had brown tags too. Maybe this means we can get priority boarding, even though not sailing in suites. Would be nice if we could get priority tender and disembarking too. That was a nice perk in a suite. Loved breakfast at Cagneys, I will miss not getting that. I doubt we will, as we have such a large group of us. I did try to upgrade to a suite, but CAS wouldnt let me, since it was the 7star event. I was able to upgrade for my 7star annual cruise benefit however. I wonder when the casino will open on the ship, as we will not be out to sea until very late. I heard around 5p?.

I had brown tags on my reservation also. I am Golden in the NCL Casino which gives you breakfast and lunch in Cagneys no matter what room you are in. It also gives you priority embark, disembark, and tender. Hopefully they will keep that perk even with so many players on board. The casino on that itinerary usually opens between 5-6. I am in my 50s, blonde and will have my cane so should be pretty easy to spot.

I think they removed breakfast at Cagneys as a perk for CAS earlier this year. :(
