Miami Post-cruise transfer ...

Cruising in February. There are 3 of us, and we'll need to get to Miami airport on disembarkation. Carnival transfers are $16/person = $48 total. How far is the airport from the cruise terminal? Would we be better off just catching a taxi and splitting it 3 ways?

Thanks for any info!

We had always catch a cab. much faster than waiting to fill the bus and then sitting waiting for them first o unload the luggage and the people.unloading the bus. If you can use the luggage express and it is much fast to the airport without lugging suitcase around.

Hi, same situation here in February, but there are 5 of us. Are there any LARGE taxis?? Also, just recently cruised out of Port Everglades, only two of us, were going to grab a cab, but found an independent shuttle company for $12 pp. Anyone have any idea if those are just hanging around waiting outside of Miami port??
