soccermommie Posted December 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2014 We sailed in this cabin 12/7-12/14/14. We accepted an upsell to this cabin less than a week prior to sailing. We were so excited to try an 8M extended aft balcony on Carnival because we'd previously had an aft on Royal Caribbean's Navigator and loved it. While we did like the extra space in the cabin and on the balcony, we were extremely disappointed that the Dream balcony only had regular chairs rather than loungers. What a waste of space! We like to view cabin pics prior to booking; although, we didn't have time for that when accepting the upsell. I'll post a few pics of the cabin, starting with the interior: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah137/karaorvin/dreamcabin7465door_zps66730ff3.jpg?t=1419283918 http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah137/karaorvin/dream7465interiorfromdoor_zpsa337c1d9.jpg?t=1419283969 http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah137/karaorvin/dream7465vanityarea_zps5669def6.jpg?t=1419284260 http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah137/karaorvin/dream7465interiorfrombedside_zps1bbf37d0.jpg?t=1419284263 http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah137/karaorvin/dream7465interiorfrombalconydoor_zpsc92f3218.jpg?t=1419284315 http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah137/karaorvin/dream7465balconydoorandwindowfrominterior_zps79c88d9b.jpg?t=1419284350

kelkel2 Posted December 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2014 Your pictures do not show up when I click on the link. It says something about you having moved or deleted the picture. Do you have security settings in place? Maybe that's it?

LivetoVaca Posted December 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Thanks for the pics. We are booked in this room for March 8th cruise. I just switched to this room from 7461because reviews said room was bigger. Did you notice if any of the aft balconies ( other than the wrap arounds) had a lounger? soccermommie Posted December 24, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted December 24, 2014 LivetoVaca - we did peek around the balcony dividers to see if the cabins on either side of us had loungers. They did not - just the regular chairs like we had.
soccermommie Posted December 24, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted December 24, 2014 rocktruckchuck - The a/c worked very well. We had it turned almost to the warmest setting, and I still needed an extra blanket on the bed to be comfortable at night!

No offense to this poster, but this is the exact reason I would not book an aft balcony
FM Cruiser Posted December 24, 2014 #11 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Please let me clarify. The reason i do not like the aft balcony is because of the way the dividers are angled back. Even if you are standing upright on the rail you can see into your neighboring balcony. Maybe its just me but I like the privacy of a straight up divider on a regular balcony better.
