Silly Question about Spirit cruises

I decided to look around on Carnival's Australian website. I noticed that there is no area to login for VIFP. This has me wondering if the Spirit Australia cruises count towards our VIFP status.

 

Does anyone have the answer?

Cruises on Carnival Australia cruises do not count towards your VIFP. It is a different company (although totally owned by Carnival).

Yes they do count. I am in Australia and have VIFP counted for my Carnival Spirit cruises.

Just as a follow up, cruises aboard the Spirit (as example) do not count for US cruisers) unless a sailing is either to or from Australia (ie the Legend as example) where the cruiser must request the cruise credit. Here is a quote from carnival.com

 

In order to earn VIFP Points for Cruises that begin and end in Australia (each an “Australian Cruise”), Members must log into their Account and request that VIFP Points be awarded for Days earned on such Australian Cruise(s). Members must review their cruise history and submit a request by clicking on “Missing a Cruise?” and provide the requested information. CCL will not automatically award VIFP Points for any Australian Cruise.

 

I am not aware (but could be wrong) that nay credit is given for a cruise on the Spirit and was told such but a Carnival employee. Things might have changed since then since it was before the Spirii left for Australia.

Carnival Australian Cruises can count toward VIFP points. You must request after sailing as a "missing cruise" after logging in to your VIPF account. Points will then be added, just not automatically as with the USA cruises. I am Australian and have done both USA departure cruises and Australian cruises all added to VIFP
