Upset with NCL, not sure what else we can do

You obviously did not speak to the right people

While free upgrades are possible even after final payment if the prices have dropped enough, I've never heard of anybody getting an extra cabin for free on top of the upgrade even if the total sum by current list prices would be lower than originally paid.

You really think that the job of a TA is to watch for price changes for you?:confused::confused:

That is not even close to their job and what you are asking them to do is extra work so that they can take a pay cut.

If you book with a TA, don't expect price reductions, and if you want price reductions then book on your own.

When I booked we discussed possible price drops and she promised to keep an eye out and to contact me when they happened her words not mine..

I did get the current price drop thanks to my persistence and non trusting nature and saved $1200.

Right now I don't see any possible way my rate will go lower so I could have lost out on a fabulous deal...

However all is right in the world so now all I need to worry about is getting the best deal on plane tickets and hotel reservations...

I will still use her for my other travel arrangements so she will still make money in the long run...

I am sure she did tell you she would keep her eye on rates but that doesn' mean all the time plus after final payment it makes little difference as many have said. Being frustrated is understandable, but just relax and realize not any of us always get the best deal.

16 days until sailing.

overall prices have dropped alot. My O1 dropped $500ish.

My O1 category (soldout) is now the same price as a Family mini-suite Balcony

Spent 63 mins (60 of which was on hold) with my online big brand TA, whom had to call NCL on the other line.

I was willing to split the family up & swap my O1 for 1 cheapest inside GTY and 1 balcony/mini-suite (which is the same $ or less). Any combination of these 2 rooms would come out $40-300 cheaper than what i already paid for my O1.

NCL will not do anything for me, NO "upgrade" , NO switching rooms, NO OBC, NO credit of any kinda. Nada.

Just wasted 63 minutes on the phone.

They are having a fire sale. They have already sold your room. They are trying put live bodies in some unsold rooms at the last minute. Imagining that they are looking to reduce the prices for rooms that they have sold is.......not realistic.
