ikirumata Posted February 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Lower Reid falls is an easy walk from Skagway right behind the cemetery. I don't know your physical condition or how familiar you are with hiking, but Upper Reid falls (and Dewey Lake) is a bit more of a hike with some elevation, although I heard most of the trails are clearly marked, albeit some muddy areas if wet. I hope you have a great time and come back with lots of waterfall pics!

Would love to see bear on our trip Edited February 9, 2015 by Miss Dot
Rare geoherb Posted February 11, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2015 I was happy that we did not see any bears while we hiked in Skagway. We walked to Lower Reid Falls, then to the Jewell Gardens. From there, we took Dyea Road to the overlook and back through some trails to the pedestrian bridge that connects that side of the water with the town.
