poppypobble Posted February 11, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Some of the specialty coffee drinks are available at one or two bars but not the new drinks on my prior post. I have seen the specialty coffee menu on the tables in Crooners in the morning. I have only gotten fresh coffee or specialty drinks at the IC so I can't confirm other locations. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app Ok-thanks! We will definitely be frequenting the IC!:)
IECalCruiser Posted February 11, 2015 #27 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Not tax, 15% gratuity on purchased beverages anywhere on the ship. If you purchased your coffee card (as opposed to getting it free), a 15% gratuity was included in the price. I meant to say gratuity. Is there a 15% gratuity added to beverages purchased at the IC if you don't use the coffee card? I was assuming so because they charge 15% gratuity when you buy the coffee card on board. I had assumed that the gelato would be the same but from your comment and reviewing my statement from the Emerald I see that is not the case. I wonder about Gelato on the Royal and Regal? Since I used the coffee card at Gelato I have no personal experience. There is 15% gratuity added for shakes at the Ice Cream Bar so it is all just a little bit confusing. skynight Posted February 11, 2015 #28 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Just for info here is a list of free dining on the Ruby Princess MDR's open for breakfast and dinner each day and lunch on sea days International Cafe: open 24 hours no charge for food, charge for gelato and espresso/coffee/tea drinks. Free coffee and tea is available at the buffet and in the MDR's. Pub Lunch in Wheelhouse Bar on some sea days- Is it mostly fish/chips, bangers & mash, sandwiches. I am assuming you can't bring kids in there? Trident Grill open 11am to 10/11pm on Lido Deck Pizza & Ice Cream Bar open 11am to 10/11pm on Lido Deck, Pizza by the slice, soft ice cream. There is a charge for sundaes, shakes & floats. Do you know how much sundaes are? Is this where they serve waffles in the morning? Horizon Ct/Cafe Caribe buffet areas open from 6am to 11pm/midnight. Is the caribe cafe in a different area & do they serve different food than Horizon? Regarding fruit you can have it delivered to your cabin, or a quick trip to the buffet and you can pick up all you wish. Ok- great idea-thanks! There is no cash used on the ship, except some casino games and extra tips to the staff. Keep cash locked in your cabin safe. Do the video games require cash as well? Yes, youth can eat the Wheelhouse Pub Lunch. Yes, Fish & Chips, Bangers & Mash, Plowman's Lunch, Shepard's Pie, Breaded Shrimp, a few different menus. It's sitdown and you are served. Order seconds if you want them. Waffles are served for breakfast in the Horizon Ct. and Cafe Caribe. Have not seen waffles at the ice cream bar for a number of years, but maybe. Horizon Ct. and Cafe Caribe are adjacent to each other and for all practical purposes the same. At the times both sections are open they mainly serve the same foods. At times Cafe Caribe may have themed lunch items that are not served at the Horizon Ct. lines. You have to look around. Believe that only the Cafe Caribe section is open for dinner. In any case one section or another will be open from 6am until 11pm/midnight. Get food whenever you like. If they have video games they will be in the youth center. I really don't know if they are free or pay, and don't know the payment methods.

poppypobble Posted February 13, 2015 Author #32 Share Posted February 13, 2015 Here's what the hang tag for the room service fruit looks like, along with the room service breakfast tag. Both of these will be in your cabin. As others have mentioned, there is no charge for this. Thanks for posting these. That is super helpful! Gallivanting Souls Posted February 13, 2015 #33 Share Posted February 13, 2015 Our waiter on our last cruise took very good care of the kids, especially the youngest who was 10 at the time. Each night the waiter would ask for his order(maybe hoping for something new?) and each night it was same thing. It became a game. He ordered off the served any time offerings. I believe it was chicken breast for main Couse. He always got the Volcano for dessert. This past cruise it was just the Hubby and I. I had to get the Volcano for him since he couldn't come. It was just as good as I remember. I had a few other diners looking my way asking what was that, and how could they get it. You can get it any time. It's on the kids menu. We have always used the coffee card.

We have always used the coffee card. Sorry I mis-read your question. If using your cruise card there is a 15% gratuity charged for any beverage purchase anywhere on the ship including coffee at the IC.
