Remind me how to check for price drops

The fare finder will not show any special rates that specific to you. I would have missed a rate today that I got because I'm a casino player. I always do a mock booking and then add my past guest number when checking for rates.

When i check fare viewer it doesn't show category 8C fares (it shows other balcony categories). Does this mean that category 8C is sold out?

Yes, that's likely the case, if you look at the fare viewer and you see a whole list of balcony categories and 8C isn't showing it's more than likely because they are sold out. Especially if you are talking about the sailing in your signature that is 65 days away? That's a good bet!

The other issue with fareviewer is that it doesn't show the taxes and fees associated with the cruise. And it should be noted that these can go up and down which does impact the total cost. So, though the cruise rate may have dropped, an increase in taxes/fees may cut into that price drop.
