Price Drops?

Does Celebrity upgrade cabins (upon TA request) when there are major price drops? We have had cabin upgrades on two lines we've sailed in the past when there was a price drop.

Never have tried on X.

Would appreciate others sharing their expertise in this before I call TA.

Yes you can get an upgrade if the cruise price drops and the upgraded cabin is more than you paid. If it is before final payment you can get a price reduction on your existing cabin. You have to request any change. You could lose some perks doing this.

Just grabbed an upgrade from Balcony to Aquaclass on a TA. This was after final payment. Our cabin dropped about $160 and the upgrade cost anothe $260 or so, including insurance.

 

Well worth the (successful) attempt.

Thanks. We don't have any perks to speak of on the Transpacific...only a small OBC from the TA. I'm sending the email now!
