Ok question just to make sure. I have to be up at like 3:30am for my flight. I'm guessing night #1 will be a waste and I'll at least not feel like drinking a lot. So I can get a drinking package on day 2 (a sea day) and pay for only 5 days (it's a 6 night cruise)? Thanks

Yes :) you can purchase for the remainder of the cruise as long as there are 4 days left

There is a ~15 minute refill limit on Royal Caribbean, but that only applies to self-served refills at the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.

The Freestyle machines have a time limit in between? This is the first time I'm hearing this.

Why a 15 min minimum from the machines?

This is a different kind of upgrade question. I have searched several threads to try and find this answer. I do know I can buy a package online prior to the cruise and then upgrade it to another once onboard, but...

I am wondering if you can have 1 package either pre-boarding or on the ship and then upgrade later in the cruise (as long as there is 4 days left).

ie: Can I buy the royal replenish package and halfway through the cruise upgrade it to the select/premium package?

These answers are great, thanks! One I have - I see non-alcoholic frozen drinks are covered in "Select", and wines up to $6. I've read here that with Select you can also get wine over $6 and just pay the difference, which is great. Does the same apply to alcoholic drinks (frozen or otherwise)? I.e. If I have Select, and want to order the occasional "labadoozie" or a pre-dinner martini, do I get a $6 credit with select too?

It's $8, not $6.

I've heard different things - some people have said you can only pay the difference on the more expensive packages (not Select), others have said you can just pay the difference on all - so not sure on that one.

You pay the difference for wine that exceeds $8 per glass on the Select package. However, in the case of beer that is not included in the Select package, you would pay full price.

Thank you for your reply. I am just wondering, did you do this?

No, we have never purchased a drink package. My answer was based on reading accounts from other posters.
What is the going rate for beer and frozen drinks? Im not a big drinker so I'm not sure if it's worth buying the package or not. I don't drink soda either...
Thanks in advance! We sail Monday March 9th!
Anywhere from $5 to $12.
