lisajm Posted March 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2015 If you book and pay for a cruise and for some reason are unable to go on that cruise do the sea days still count to your VIFP status?
kendracruises Posted March 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I am going to say no since you would be a no show at the pier or have to cancel and thus would not be completing a sailing. Per the Carnival site "VIFP Points are credited to a Member’s Account within fourteen (14) days of completing a Cruise." latitude918 Posted March 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2015 No. You only get credit for days that you were aboard ship.
imaboo Posted March 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I can also confirm that you will not get credit for days booked if you don't sail them. I was actually in that situation a few years ago.
ready2cruzagain Posted March 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2015 No, you have to actually sail on the ship. It doesn't matter if you paid full price and got zero dollars refunded, you are not going to get credit for sailing in your VIFP profile.
nitro2448 Posted March 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2015 The sea days don't start counting until you swipe your S&S card on embarkation day
