from the tender landing

walk to the right a couple of hundred yards and you'll find Eden Rock Dive Shop

the Eden Rock dive site is one of the best snork' sites on the island

You can rent equipment at the shop .... jump in .... and go for it

You saved $$ .... no need for an "excursion"

BUT ... this is big boy snorkeling .... NO standing up ..... the water is deeper than that.

We've been to GC several times. Last time we took a 10 min. taxi ride to Smiths Beach (the locals call it Smiths Bracadere) it is gorgeous! A small cove, great snorkeling (bring your gear) and there are rocks you can jump off. Threre is also a small island, very close to the beach that you can swim out and snorkel around, great place, bring water/snacks as nothing there. Have fun!

how did you get back to the ship? I would like to go but I have read a few posts that said that it would be difficult to get back.

thanks

Most taxis will come back to get you if you agree on a time . . .

or, walk back to Sunset House .... about 1/2 mile and ask at the desk or the bar and they'll typically be happy to call a taxi (if there isn't one hanging there already)
