Sun Balcony Connecting

I just reserved 2 balcony family rooms on this ship 8264/8265. Can the balcony adjoin and become 1 big one also so we can be outside together?

The metal dividers on the balcony can only be opened when the ship is in port.

 

Your Steward can open it for you, but I'm not sure it's really worth all the extra work, since it's likely you'll not be using your balcony much while in port.

 

All dividers must be closed when the ship is underway.

When we were on the Sun last October the partitions between the rooms appeared to be soldered shut; we asked if they could open them and they said no, not possible.

 

That was our experience, balcony deck 8.

We were on the Sun last month. There was no "keyhole" or opening to put any type of key or tool. The dividers appeared to be welded shut.
