vgarcia1020 Posted April 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) There seems to be 2 Cruise Terminals in Venice. Does anyone know the terminal for windstar in Venice? More specifically, for the June 9, 2015 departure. thanks Edited April 1, 2015 by vgarcia1020
ducklite Posted April 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2015 A warning--We were supposed to come into the small terminal and that morning sailed right by it and found out that we were coming into the larger one due to the availability of a harbor master. I had verified which terminal about a week before we left for Europe and was told absolutely we were coming into the San Basilia terminal. So just be prepared with a back up plan. kuldalai Posted April 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Larger vessels berth at the Marratima Terminal. Smaller vessels like R class boats and Windstar vessels may well berth at the San Basilio piers (2 berths). Contact Windstar via their website for details where you will berth in Venezia. From San Basilio you can take a Vaporetto to Piazza San Marco or Piazzale de Roma . One can also take a road taxi from San Basilio to Piazazale de Roma . MNgardens Posted April 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2015 For my mother's cruise about 18 months ago they were told the San Basilio but when they showed up they were eventually told to go to the big main one. The situation was not handled well and it was confusing. In the future I would look into a way to check the port website to see where it is berthed before heading off.
