Florence/Pisa Wine tasting or Beach?

RCCL has a wine tasting in Tuscany tour, anyone ever done that? Is it a neat experience? We have done the whole Pisa thing and are looking for something different to do. And do love our wines. Not really museum people. What about the beaches there, are they nice or just packed with people.

You will have better luck posting this on the Italy board. I assume you have been to Florence then so you know Livorno is a industrial port not given to beaches.You can Google this question and see the results...none in Livorno and some in Tuscany,but not great in rating. There is some info on the Italy board about wine tours people have done with a private guide or DIY.

Agee on all. Florence is in Italy. On the Italy board the is truck loads of info.

 

If you love your wines, I would suggest a private tour to the Sienna/Chianti region- Rome in Limo does a superb job on this front.

As an alternative to Florence or Pisa how about the beach at Viareggio which is very nice although commercialised. Some tours combine a quick stop at Pisa (not sure its worth more!) with a visit to Viareggio.

 

Another option which is fantastic is a tour to Cinque Terra - five amazing villages perched on the water's edge
