Pool heat sailing from Southampton?

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, no heated pools (besides hot tubs) and no covered pools on Explorer.

Gutted and a bit surprised.

At this time of year the English Channel's water temp is about 10 Celsius (50f).

With air temperatures only expected to be in the 60's that pretty much rules out using the pools unless one uses a wetsuit.

That's the way it is. I've sailed Explorer to Bermuda in early June and late October. Pools unusable both trips, not to mention Canada/New England. Just not pool type trips. Hot tubs were fine. Oh and never a problem getting a lounger.
