cnoel1224 Posted May 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2015 What is the closest beach to the Hilton Marina Hotel? Preferably something within walking distance if not a short drive. We are going on the Independence June 14 for our honeymoon but staying overnight the night prior at the Hilton Marina. Thanks!
eandj Posted May 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2015 If you look at your hotel's location you see you are on the intracoastal waterway. About a mile walk to beach. I would hop a cab to Beach Place, a popular strip of beach along with restaurants, bars etc. Probably 2 miles tops. If the weather is nice and you like walking, yes you can walk it. Have a great stay.
cnoel1224 Posted May 24, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 24, 2015 We are driving down; we live in Md, but are getting married in S.C then headed down to Ft.L. I wonder if Beach Place would be on google maps?

cnoel1224 Posted May 24, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 24, 2015 Thank you so much; i just looked it up. It seems like a great place to relax with a good view of the beach as well as good food/ drinks. That is just what we are looking for after a 10 hour drive from myrtle beach. royalcruz Posted May 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 24, 2015 Beach Place is a good place to go because they have bathrooms and bars/restaurants, as well as a 24hr cvs. The closest inexpensive parking is about a block or 2 west on the intracoastal. There is also a public beach about a mile closer that you will see, but there isn't much across the street from that one.
cnoel1224 Posted May 24, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted May 24, 2015 Would it be better just to walk if the weather is nice? We don't mind a walk as long as it's not more than 20 min or so
capriccio Posted May 24, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 24, 2015 Would it be better just to walk if the weather is nice? We don't mind a walk as long as it's not more than 20 min or so It's about 2 1/2 miles so you would have to walk awfully quickly (i.e., jog) to do it in 20 minutes!
