we will be going to Bermuda on the Voyager, could some one help with hotel information, would like to visit New York City before the cruise for a couple of days, and then cruise, any information will be appreciated.

My suggestion would be to stay in Jersey City, NJ. There are several hotels downtown by the waterfront that have easy access to the Path train which goes right into NYC. You'll save money by not staying in the very expensive NYC hotels. There is the Hyatt, Doubletree, Candlewood Suites and there is a Courtyard Marriott.

 

I would make a cancellable reservation at one of these hotels and then try Priceline or Hotwire for better pricing. Also in this area is the Newport Mall which also has a movie theater and there's plenty of restaurants in the area. You really won't even need a car.
