Oh2B@C Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Hi all, Have you ever stayed at the Vagabond Inn San Pedro? What was it like? I just booked an internet super-saver rate of $71, which sounds pretty awesome to me. I looked at their website and the hotel seems perfectly fine for the price. Did you use the free shuttle to the cruise port? How did that go? I appreciate any comments you may have. Thanks. Phil
mtwingcpa Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I stayed there a few years ago. I booked a non-smoking room, and I suspect it was labeled as such about 2 hours before my arrival. :-( I decided to walk to the port (maybe about a mile). All things considered, the hotel was OK. But I'll look for other choices next time.
SadieN Posted May 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2015 Be very careful about cheap hotels in the LA area. Many are not in areas I'd be in a night.
Morebeer Posted May 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Stayed there last summer for 1 night pre cruise. The motel gets a lot of negative comments but for a 1 nights stay I had no problems. Ended up paying the $50 fee to leave my vehicle parked at the motel while on the cruise which worked out just fine. Took the free shuttle to the San Pedro pier, it only runs the one direction. Post cruise we took a taxi back to the motel where the car was parked. I'd guess it's much less then 5 miles from the pier think even with tip the cab back to the hotel was less then $15. There's also a Rite-Aid store within walking distance of the motel for any wine, soda, water. food, or other needs you need to pick up to take to the ship.
