Nassau Atlantis Beach Day and Discovery Excursion

Hello all,

 

Quick question regarding this excursion. We're interested in seeing Atlantis, but I'm not sure about the beach. From what I keep reading, there's a public beach very close... if that's so, why would someone pay for the private one? Again, from what I'm reading, you have the same issues with people trying to sell you things constantly while you're there - so I don't see the benefit of the private beach. Am I missing something??? If so, please let me know. Trying to book the excursion today.
