having trouble organizing a group in our cruise roll call thread so I am thinking of alternatives.

I know at some ports I have been able to reserve tours on the spot for a lot less than the ship. Are these type of tours available at the port of Salerno?

Hoping to do an Amalfi coast drive

We are coming in September 28th on the Emerald Princess.

Thank you

I don't think there were tours at the port. It's an industrial port so they bus you out to the a bus stop. However it is a short beautiful walk from there to either the train station or a ferry that goes along the Amalfi coast. The walk to the ferry took us about 25 minutes. It is E12 to go to Positano (Amalfi would be cheaper) and it's a gorgeous view the whole way. Positano is a cute town with a decent beach and tons of shops and restaurants. Definitely buy your tickets to come back ahead of time as the ferry we took back was very full! But most people got off at Amalfi. Total for the day was E24 each and it was a wonderful way to spend the day.
