Depends on your definition of "best/cheapest", and what trade-offs you're prepared to make.

 

Cheapest in my book would be an inside triple.

 

Best would be a mini-suite with a balcony.

 

Also might depend on the ship, I'm not sure if the newer boats have inside triples

Hi Nightmare,

 

We pack my 87 year old mom in our balcony stateroom on Celebrity which is a third larger than the Dawn. Its pushing the limits for us. A mini-suite would be perfect but costly. This year we are going to move everything in the room to make the crowded situation better. We meet three adult women who found it difficult to share an inside cabin with the prolonged bathroom visits required by at leat one.
