Weddings aboard Princess ships

Hello Everyone!
I have a friend who is interested in getting married in conjunction with a cruise to Alaska, summer 2005. I believe that I read in the Princess brochure that Princess captains ARE certified to conduct the ceremonies. This was fascinating to me, as most other cruise lines require outside officiants to conduct the ceremony and require that it be done in port prior to ship departure.

I would love to hear everything you have to share with me regarding weddings aboard Princess ships.

Thank you very much

The Captain will do it if the wedding is performed at sea. If done in port it will be an officant. It actually cost several hundred dollars more to have the same ceremony done by the captain at sea.

We were married in Nov. on a Princess ship so if I can answer any questions let me know.

Scott
