Calling home through Facebook Messenger on Breeze

has anyone tried calling through Facebook messenger while on the breeze or did you just text? Going to be on the Breeze this Saturday and wanted to know if I would be able to talk to my husband or just message him.

 

I also saw that you can use iMessage (with the $25 internet pkg), which is good!

Yes you can make a call using Facebook messenger if you have the social media plan. We were even able to do a video call!!

Great question jennyG123 this would make my cruise so much cheaper as I have to call home everyday. I never even thought of calling through FB messenger

Yes you can make audio and video calls through FB messenger but there is some extreme lag time. If you are fine saying something and then pausing 7 -10 seconds to hear or see a response it will be fine but it drove me insane. Went back to just fb im'ing after that.

We did a video call through FB on our cruise last week. Yes there was a lag time of about 5 seconds, but I got to see a picture of my dog and make sure that she was all right! Made me feel better :) Also, was hard to see because we were out on deck (serenity deck) but still outside sounds can really make it difficult to hear.
