I would wait if you want to go with other people. The studio coordinator usually has a sign up sheet for people wishing to go to dinner and/or shows with the group.

You can sign up before hand and once you get on the ship have the coordinator change the times/dates if you wish.

Have a great cruise!!

I think most solos book ahead of time, but Cooley is correct, you can change that once u r on board.

The one time I cruised on the getaway, last March, the solo director couldn't get us into one of the shows because it was all booked up. I think it was blue man group. He also had difficulty getting us into the magic show because of the number of us wanting to go. We ended up with a terrible view. Well those of us at the end of the table...

I recommend booking in advance to guarantee a show, especially the free ones, that agrees with your schedule, i.e. preferred dining time, excursions, etc.

You can always cancel a reservation, but can't always get a new one...

(The reservation process might be handled differently since March.)
