Azura cruise A525: Thanks for facilitating Cruise Critic Roll Call meetings

A big thank you to P&O crew Jamie & Patricia for going the extra mile by announcing Cruise Critic Roll Call meetings in Horizon. Then you raised the bar even further by providing light refreshments and pastries.

 

You both did us proud and we very much appreciated the hard work you both put in.

 

It was great to meet up with other Roll Call members and catch up with their tips and anecdotes.

 

Hope all Roll Call members had a good journey home and you're getting used to the cold - B&M

We had a fabulous cruise and met some lovely people. Good to put faces to names. A special thanks also to "twobritsonships" (B&M) for arranging the Cruise Critic meet up and liaising with Jamie and Patricia from P&0. It was nice to have Jamie taking time out to attend two of the three meet ups, the third in the Kamalah room where we all enjoyed the refreshments provided by P&O.

Its nice to hear P and O supporting cruise critic roll call meet ups. How did you manage to organise it? Did you contact head office before you cruised or go to reception once on board? Any tips would be helpful!!:)

After an initial meeting of the roll call members I volunteered to see if we could get another meeting arranged.

 

I went to Reception and asked if they could put an announcement in Horizon or ship's newspaper. The request was knocked up the management line. They got back to me pretty quickly and said they would put it in Horizon on the day of the get together. Further, if we were to have a third meeting that they would put it in Horizon again, provide a room, teas, coffees and pastries. We had that third meeting and we were all very impressed with the support offered by P&O.

 

Let's hope its a sign of more support from P&O for members of this forum.

It's about time though. Celebrity and Royal Caribbean have long since being supporting cruise critic roll call meets with coffee and pastries and usually the cruise director attends and gives a speech. On Anthem last month they raffled about 8 prizes. They have a dedicated section of their website to register for the meets.
