Alaska Cruise - Southbound

At the end of May I will be on a 1-B Alaska cruisetour. Almost six months until we leave.

When is the best time to book flights? Excursions are shown for the cruise part of the vacation but wondering if there were extra excursions I can book for the land portions to Talkeetna and Denali.

I've already booked our flight for our North bound cruise that leaves the end of May. However, we're also spending a week before in Seattle before travelling up to Vancouver. I'm a HUGE proponent of booking as early as you can to make sure you get the flight you want. Sometimes waiting to see if the price drops is not always worth it.

The tour guide on the land portion will give you a list of optional excursions you can book on the 1st day of the land tour. You will book them through her/him. We've done Celebrity land/cruises twice in Alaska and it's hard waiting for information on the land portion but that's they way they do it.
