excursion recomendation for a crowded port

1-29-16. Looks like 6 ships in port. We will be on Princess. Any suggestions as to which excursion areas may be a little less crowded and which ones to steer clear of?

What do you want to do? :confused: Coz is an island so most of the popular excursions involve the beach or water (snorkel, sail, fishing, etc.).

 

Coz is a tourist spot and 6 ships is not exceptional; in general I would avoid ship sponsored excursions unless you are going to the mainland to see the Mayan ruins. You can do it on your own for less $$.

 

Beaches - Paradise Beach, Mr. Sanchos, Nachi Cocom and many others. Most are lined up along the same side of the island so the sand/water quality are similar. The amenities and packages are what separate them.

 

Snorkel - lots of boat tours (we used Eagle Ray a couple of years ago and were happy) or snorkel from the shore at the Money bar or Chankanaab

 

Chank also offers swim with the dolphins, other sea creature shows, plus a small beach and snorkel lagoon.
