Escape Comedy Show RSVP Questions

These answers may be buried in trip reports, so for recent cruisers on the Escape:

 

1) Can you RSVP for the Comedy Shows BEFORE boarding the ship (on-line)or only once on board?

2) Are the shows by the two comedians DIFFERENT after seeing them once each or do we make multiple RSVPs for the same comedians during the week for difference monologues?

3) How long are the shows?

A1-You cannot book before you board, at least that's how it was for my cruise last week.

 

A2-Some shows are different. They will let you know if there next show is new material. They also had a show in the main theater on Wednesday with all 3 performing different jokes than they did in Headliners.

 

A3-Never really timed them but I believe they were between 30-45 minutes.

They comedians generally only sign contracts for a couple weeks. Some cruises will have 2 and some will have 3. Whether or not the material varies depends on that particular comedian and how much they have.

ON the TA they were struggling to fill their slots with new stuff by the end.

 

There was a standby line and the times we went(never booked) everyone got in with room to spare, they fill the back of the room with standing.

 

A couple of times in the later part of the cruise, even though full on the booking screens, we got seats I suspect loads of no shows.

 

This was 10n cruise demand will probably be a bit tighter on the 7n but people will book a stol and then find something better or their dinner will overrun.

 

Cruise comedy is a bit hit/miss these guys were good(far better than Second city) but as we are UK we had not seen them before/recently.

IME if you have seen the person in a live show or on TV there will be a lot of overlap unless they have a new show material to share.

 

It is pot luck who will be on your cruise but Levity have a very broad reach into the comedy talent pool check out their youtube channel "Wait For It"
