New RCI excursion, underground Mayan cenote and fifth ave shopping?

It seems this is a new excursion because I have been stalking the shore excursions for a year and haven't seen it and there are no reviews. So is anyone familiar with it? The underground cenote is called Chaak Tun.

Put "underground" into the search engine on this forum and you will find some discussions about this excursion.

 

I think most of the threads I have seen have been through Carnival so I don't know if it is new to Royal Caribbean, or if this will help you any.

VERY VERY unnecessary to pay for a tour for this. All you need to do it hop on the ferry to Playa, 5th Ave is right there. Any taxi will take you to Chaak Tun right nearby.

That's good to know but I am doing this with my two parents who would feel a lot more comfortable with a guarantee back to the boat. Thank you.
