Any recent travelers on the Legend of the Seas?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We will be traveling on the Legend of the Seas in a couple months out of Brisbane's Portside Wharf and am interested to hear about the embarkation experience. I have read a slew of terrible reviews for the Legend on its cruises through Asia and the majority seem to revolve around the poor experience of the embarkation in Singapore.

Looking forward to hearing if its an issue of the Legend or if it was simply the cruise terminals in questions. Thanks!

Most of the embarkation process is handled by shore-side staff. I do not believe that new staff would be hired for this job and it is most likely Royal Caribbean will use the regular staff that P&O and Princess use. They are extremely experienced and it is likely things will go fairly smoothly. That said, you would probably have to expect a couple of 'teething problems'. Just go with the flow and enjoy.:)

We were on Legend from Honolulu to Sydney earlier this year. No problems with embarkation. I think the problem is Singapore terminal.

We did a 10 night Caribbean cruise on the Legend in January.

Like you I heard a good number of negative comments so I am happy to share that we loved the ship.

Every staff we dealt with was professional, friendly and kind. We have fond memories of the maitre d, and our servers. We even had a good experience at the pursers desk.

we loved the intimacy of a "smaller ship" and hope to sail on the legend again in the future.

Our hidden gem was the quiet deck in the back of the ship behind the spa. The spa manager was always lovely to us and everyone even though we did not utilize their services.

Enjoy
