That is wrong information. Any punches not used can be used on future cruises for specialty coffees.

 

The card can be used for Brewed coffee as well as Specialty coffee on the cruise that you buy the card.

You have it exactly backward. It's only good for brewed coffee on the cruise on which you first use the card. The punches for specialty coffees are good as long as you have the card, essentially forever (I have a card that's older than at least one of the ships in the fleet, possibly two!).
