on the divina the cruise director and staff give a good cruise critic meet and greet just as the cruise is leaving. a nice chance to meet other cc. there is a solos/singles meet the second day. there are plenty of group and party games like trivia and simon says and group board games like pictionary. during some of the party games few people showed and the nice staff were required to stay although the 2 or 3 us who were there said we didn't mind if they left and grabbed some lunch or 40 winks. they handed out stuff and swapped stories with us.

May be different on the Divina sailing in the US, but in my experience of 18 solo cruises with them, there are rarely solo events and even when there are, they don't work because either no one turns up or so few do and then there is a language issue.

Add to that that MSC have become somewhat anti solo in their pricing recently, to the point that they won't let you book some cruises at any price, then the number of solos onboard are likely to remain small if not decline. Repositioning cruises can occasionally be the exception, where they reduce or remove single supplements, and numbers rise.
