Ships that are more than 15 years old have to be drydocked twice in 5 years, as opposed to younger ships that can be docked once, with an underwater survey by divers at the mid-period. The Sky turned 15 in August 2014, but NCL completed her drydock early, in Oct 2013, she slips under the wire for the 3rd Special Survey rule. So, I would suspect that they are doing her last underwater survey (normally done during 2-3 turn around days), while also undergoing the "face lift" that FDR has touted for all vessels, since she won't go back to dock until 2018. For the Sky, I think they will finally get rid of all the Hawaiian decor, and perhaps the bow art.
