Also keep in mind that you may be charged sales tax when you purchase the wine package over the phone and on board while you are still in port. Sales tax will not be charged at sea so they should not charge sales tax if you purchase the wine package in the MDR.

 

We were not charged sales tax over the phone prior to cruise. They only included the 15% gratuity so the 5 bottle lowest package breaks out as:

 

$114 for the 5 bottles and the 15% ($17) gratuity = $131

This is good to know. My other over the phone purchases of water and gifts had sales tax added.
