Cruise Critic Gear Beach Safe

Was looking at this item on this website. It holds cruise card, credit cards, money. Can it be worn in the water?

Do you wear on neck, or attach to your suit? Anyone know?

The "beach safe" is worn around the neck and has an adjustable bead that slides to shorten/lengthen.

 

It is made of hard plastic and measures 3" x 4" x 1". It has a locking clasp to close. I've used the exact same version many times in the water.
