AMTRAK Terminal in Ft. Lauderdale

Looking for info on how to get from train station, to hotel, to port, and back. Anyone know how far it is? How much a cab would be? Any other transfer options? Thanks for the help.

What hotel are you staying at?

 

IIRC the Amtrak terminal is at I-95 and Broward Blvd., just west of downtown Fort Lauderdale. If you're staying in SE 17th Street/Port Everglades area then taxis are you best/easiest bet. It's about 10-15 minutes to the SE 17th Street area.

Probably something in the area near the port, hoping for the free port shuttle...

AmeriSuites is the only one close to the port with a free port shuttle, but if you're going in December you better hurry up and get something. Hotel rooms are quite pricey and becoming harder to come by this winter/spring in Fort Lauderdale.

Hi there, thinking of taking the Amtrak back from Port Everglades, any info on how long/much it is from the port to the station?
