We normally stay at hol inn night before and leave car there while on cruise

This time probably not

Behind the hol inn was I assume a RC car park

It's parking with individuals who have a spare parking space. We did this on our last trip, and it was less than half the price of regular cruise parking :cool:

We used this one each time we sailed from Southampton..... It's literally a 5 min walk to the terminal.
