DH and I sailed Disney once but our kids have not. We're all going on the Wonder next March., staying in the same room. Will the kids get the silver lanyards too, or just DH and me?

Only those people who qualify are supposed to get lanyards which indicate their CC level. However, CMs have been known to hand them out to everyone in the party. There is no way to predict in advance what the CM who checks you in might do. You can purchase lanyards in the gift shop on board...or for 1/6 the cost you can purchase them at Wal-mart in advance.

Not sure what you mean by "2nd time return cruisers". If your December cruise is your second DCL cruise, you'll receive the Silver Castaway Club lanyard. You'll get this same level/color lanyard for your 3rd & 4th & 5th DCL cruises.

 

On your 6th cruise you start receiving the Gold CC lanyard (through your 10th cruise). Then you get Platinum for all remaining cruises you do on DCL.

Lanyards are supposed to go only to the returning cruisers, but we've seen CMs hand them to newbies in the same cabin.

 

You get one appropriate to your level each time you cruise...so everyone except first time cruisers get lanyards. There are some for sale in the gift shops...or at Target and Walmart pre cruise for a whole lot less.
