Upgrades on CB

I was wondering, can you get upgrades even if you haven't paid in full?? I'm not cruising until December 2006 and wont pay it in full until next spring. Is it possible to get an upgrade before then. I'm booked in a inside 4 person room. Thanks!!

Princess gives out upgrades usually after they find they have certain cabins that do not sell. It is a cost factor to try and free up some of the lower priced or most sought after cabin categories.

Free upgrades don't happen as often as they used to and you can never count on them.

But if one does happen, it would normally be after the final payment DATE, not the date YOU made final payment.

I was upgraded from an inside to an outside on the 9-17 CB before I made final payment. Nice surprise! It was on a group booking, though, so I don't know if that made a difference. And - I was cruising solo. Good luck!

I was upgraded from the lowest balcony catagory to the highest (Caribe deck) about 2 weeks after I booked. This will be my second Princess cruise.

We rec'd the same upgrade from BF to BA on Caribe deck , about 2 weeks after booking for the 11/26 voyage of the CB. This will be our 9th Princess cruise but the first with a balcony.
