Liberty of the Seas- VOLLEYBall?

Recommended Posts

We have always seen volleyball scheduled a few times during our cruises. Our 2 kids both played in high school and DD played in college. If your DD is a good player tell her not to expect much on the ship. We have found that the skill level of most of the players on the ship is not what our kids are used to.

On a Freedom class ship (such as Liberty), if you examine the Cruise Compass, you will usually find an entry for volleyball, either open-play or sign-up-for-a-team. It may not be everyday and it may not be at the same time each day.

The games are played outside on the sports deck on the same court used for basketball. Basketball seems to be more popular, so volleyball does not occur that often during a cruise, but it is there.

Looked at the Cruise Compasses from the Roatan route a month ago and they had an adult Volleyball competition on sea days 3 & 7 at 10:30am. Not sure if they have the net set up outside those hours or not. Basketball and Soccer tend to rule the sports court.
