Breakaway, is there an elevator to deck 17?

I've heard reports that there is a wheelchair lift that can be used to get up to Vibe, but I haven't gotten positive confirmation. If it exists, it may require crew assistance to use.

Definitely no elevator.

Not sure about the BA, but on the Escape there's a singe elevator that goes up to Deck 19 - it's in the foreword portside bank. I believe Deck 19 is the equivalent to the BA's Deck 17 - public sun deck, Vibe, etc. This elevator doesn't appear on the ship diagram on cruisedeckplans.com.

It opens from the rear into this oddball hallway...

Since the ships are not required to meet all requirements of the ADA, not all areas of the ship have to be accessible. However, since there is one accessible cabin in the Haven, I would assume that the ship is set up to accommodate these guests up to one of the Haven spaces. It may well be that any Haven guest needing accessible access to deck 17 will be allowed to use a crew elevator for this. Other NCL ships have had these arrangements before, for different spaces that were not designed as accessible.

My suggestion would be to call NCL's special needs department.

If you are staying in the Breakaway Haven the concierge will have someone escort you, by elevator, to the Haven sun deck. My mom uses a wheelchair and this is what we experienced this past February.

There is a lift that can be used to get up to Vibe .It is on the side of the staircase leading up to deck 17. It did look like you would have to have the crew assist.
