david62 Posted May 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2016 The site you want is scottishcitylink.co.uk or megabus.co.uk. You can book & pay for your tickets on these sites and they accept credit cards

Rare insidecabin Posted May 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2016 you need the stagecoach web site bus No 25* the stops are on the high street a short walk from the end of the pier. the name of the nearest stop to Inverness is "Invergordon, ATS Garage" try this link for a map(and maybe current times) https://www.stagecoachbus.com/bus-stop?busStop%5BGeocode%5D%5BGrid%5D%5Bvalue%5D=WGS84&busStop%5BGeocode%5D%5BLongitude%5D=-4.165438092215937&busStop%5BGeocode%5D%5BLatitude%5D=57.688621392632996&busStop%5BName%5D=Invergordon%2C+ATS+Garage&busStop%5BStopLabel%5D=670084885B for a time table on your day https://www.stagecoachbus.com/timetables for ticket info https://www.stagecoachbus.com/tickets £10.70 return. zone 3 day rider at £11 may be the best option you can then use other buses that day while in Inverness and it covers quite a wide area On cruise days they sometime run extra buses. There are also other local operators that offer trips from the pier one of the local tourist web sites http://www.visitinvergordon.com/ try to give yourself time to view the murals. wlbox Posted May 14, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted May 14, 2016 Thank you very much for the information. We will be arriving on Friday July 15. I looked at the Stage Coach bus times and thought the 25X bus would be express. Is the first 25X Express bus at 9:09 am? for the return from Inverness Bus Station back to High Street Invergordon for the afternoon with a 18:00 pm ship departure: 15:25 Inverness Bus Station 4th stop will be at 16:09 Invergordon High Street Where do we purchase the bus tickets? From the bus driver in cash? Our tour in Inverness is from 10:00 - 14:00 This bus schedule gives us extra time in both Invergordon and Inverness, if I am reading it correctly. Can you please double check my schedule. Thank you so very very much.
Hatters cruiser Posted May 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2016 The Inverness Dayrider tickets are paper tickets brought from the driver on the bus. https://www.stagecoachbus.com/regionaltickets/north-scotland/inverness/dayrider
Rare insidecabin Posted May 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2016 Looks right plenty of time, I would check a few other roll calls/review for ships visiting before you to see if they are putting on extra buses on cruise days.
