Massage pricing on board

Hi All,

We are set to sail on the Oasis in a few weeks and I noticed the price for a 50 minute Swedish Massage is $99 on a port day (Labadee-- I will be on the ship). Does anyone know if the price will drop much below that once we are on board? I remember some specials- like 3 for 1's -- but I don't remember the pricing.

Also, we are diamond, I know we get a discount on board. Should I book/pre-pay now and then see if I can get a discount when we board?

Any advice will be great!

thanks

In May on LB the regular price for a 50 minute massage was $129 +18% gratuity. On port days that dropped to $109. I got a special for $99 for 20minute back massage, 20minute facial, 20 minute scalp massage and 20minute foot massage. I didn't want to the scalp massage, so she added that time to the back and shoulder massage. The foot massage was done while waiting for the facial masque to set up. Be advised that the 18% gratuity is AUTOMATICALLY charged. I don't usually do these, as they are outrageously priced. But my husband had won a bit in the casino and insisted I do this.

Thanks! I really thought the $99 special was a good price, considering the circumstances!

I think the price steadily goes down, for example if it's your 2nd massage 20% off....3rd massage, then 30% They reward you for quantity!!! not sure how that figures on port days.

I do have to say. These steiner massage therapists tend not to give the TLC like you get back home from a regular therapist They know you aren't going to be a repeat customer so their treatments are very average. I'm saying this as someone who naively looked forward to going on a cruise for spa treatments. Their is no incentive for them to do a fantastic job, they probably won't see you again, no repeat clientele. Just one gals opinion.

Thanks! I would never think I'm actually getting the massage I want on the ship, I just like getting some of the kinks out and having a little spa day before trip is over (and I get my usual massage appointment the following week)

Just wondering if there is a diamond discount on board that may make sense to cancel/rebook onboard? Any thoughts?

port days are cheaper but you will not find anything cheaper than what is advertised. you can usually find a package of 3 20 minute each things like facial, foot massage and shoulder massage for about that price. IIRC the discount is only off of full priced packages, not any specials that get run.

FTR..I pay $69 for a 90- minute customized massage at home.
