NCL Escape for teen

My 15 year old is obsessed with Royal Caribbean due to the flowrider.

Normally we would continue the royal sailing but this year we want to do XMAS and for what we want it would be $1000-$1500 more to sail Royal.

Looking for feedback on what the typical 15 year old(no sibling) would do on this cruise to stay busy.

Thanks in advance

FYI we know fully what to expect and would have no issue paying for NCL specialty restaurants as we do that on Royal as well.

My only child is just 13, and he's never done RCL... That said, he absolutely loves the slides on Escape, but even more, he LOVES the ropes course. He will go up there and stay for over a hour at a time! It's his favorite thing. He loved the ropes course on Getaway, and the one on Escape is much larger, an extra story, and much better, so he loved it even more.

In addition, he was a huge fan of the teen club, Entourage, and hung out there whenever it was open. They have a lot of really neat activities, including a late night pool party. If you google around, I know the schedule of activities has been posted recently.

The ropes course and their slides are awesome!!! Took our 14 year old daughter on escape in April and she loved it. Been on Allure and Liberty too. She preferred the escape. No long lines like you get for the flow rider to ride for a few short minutes.

Make sure your son has gym shoes (shoes must fully cover heel and toes so sandals won't work) plus t-shirts for ropes course. You can not wear tank tops and they enforce this.

Our daughter did not go to teen club so can't comment on that.

One piece of advice - have your son get in line about 15 minutes before ropes course opens and he will avoid long waits later in day. Once on the course you can stay up as long as you want.

Enjoy!
