Cozumel may be tenders in the future as the piers are reported destroyed.

There are several ports with limited dock space and so some ships tender if they arrive after the dock space is filled. I have seen this in

 

Cozumel

St. Thomas

St. Maarten

 

In Cozumel, we were docked on Carnival Glory, and another Carnival ship was tendering. When we left the dock, the other ship moved into our space to make reboarding faster.

belize is a tender. and it's a really far one. they are not allowed to bring the ships in close because of the coral reef. it was the longest tender ride i've ever been on:)
