robanddiane Posted July 27, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Now getting different stories from different shops, we put our holidays in as per the brochure and now unable to change dates. Sadly Thomson have now lost 2 customers again as Royal Caribbean have a suitable cruise and we have now booked it. Once again Thomson messing people about and with the announcement today P&O are releasing 2018 cruises in September they need to start organising the cruises and open bookings in line with others. happy v Posted July 27, 2016 #27 Share Posted July 27, 2016 This situation is really getting beyond a joke. The largest holiday company in the UK hasn't got a usable website! Instead of working on the problem they should ditch the IT operators and employ a capable team. Even if they do have to pay more.
Jakanne1 Posted July 28, 2016 #28 Share Posted July 28, 2016 Re the Celebration repositioning cruises. You cannot book any ex-UK cruises on line at the present time because the new booking system is not set up for them. But travel agents can book them for you. Both you AND the travel agents cannot book the repositioning cruises because TUI/Thomson haven't yet finalised the details of those cruises. The next date given to be able to book them (at the TA) is the middle of September. I was told that the delay had something to do with (a) arranging the one-way flights and (b) the introduction of Discovery 2. Discovery 2 appears to have taken over a couple of Celebration's Med cruises for its first cruises. So people already booked to cruise on Celebration are going to be on Discovery 2. I hope they have learned some lessons from Discovery 1's first few cruises.
