Westerdam: 4164 or 4178

Hello! I'd like to tap into your collective knowledge for cabin selection on a 12-Med cruise next August. We have these cabin options, all VB:

4164 - this is one of the double-wide cabins on the port side

4178 - aft facing cabin, right next to the corner suite. This cabin look a little wider as does the balcony

4174 - aft facing cabin, right in the middle. Looks the longest...

Has anyone cruised in one, or optimally two of these cabins? If so, advice?

Many thanks!

We once had Noordam 4178. As I recall it was a bit wider but shorter inside than a standard side balcony cabin. The cabin next door, 4176, was about 2 or 2.5 feet longer. As you said, the two in the center, 4174 and 4179, are the longest.

We had quite a lot of vibration at times in 4178, and would not choose that cabin again on the Noordam. I don't know how it is on the Westerdam.

Thank you, all, for the speedy feedback! Based on your input, I think we're going to go with 4164 for the balcony. It's a warm weather cruise. I suspect we'll be spending a lot of time on the balcony, so the bigger the better!
