FlowRider Reservations

Recommended Posts

I just returned from a wonderful cruise on the Oasis. Prior to sailing I was going through the Cruise Planner and made reservations on day 3 for Flow Rider for my three kids (11-16-25).

Day two the kids went on FlowRider during day. After already experiencing it they were skeptical if going to the reservation instruction time.

When day three arrived my three kids and three other passengers were escorted to the surf side with two employees. From that moment they had over two hours of private instruction time. No lines, just them. The staff was outstanding teaching those that were not so talented and gave tips on special tricks to those that seemed to master the surf and boogie boards.

That said. Make your reservations if you have any desire.

I am a fan of renting the flowrider, but I am not a fan of the first experience being a lesson. If the kids or adults want to do stand-up, (boogie boarding would be a waste), then the time with repetitive runs is awesome, but the first 5 or 6 runs are just going to be wipeouts, so do those first. The problem with pre-booking is about 1/2 the people I have watched have zero desire for another run after 5 or 6 wipeouts.

I am on board with xpcdoojk. We didn't get the private lesson till after our DS's could do the basic Bodyboard tricks. After the Private lessons, the staff then gave them a little more time when riding.

Since that lesson, both my sons became very active in the Flow Riding Community outside of RCCL. Luckily we have a Waterpark with a Flow Rider about 10 Minutes away from home. last year my youngest some was the Men's National Champion of the 2015 Flow Tour and Flow Series, and this year he is riding hos first year as a Professional Body Boarder on the Flow Tour.

Thanks RCCL! :D

Do you mind letting us know the current cost for this? Thanks.

I went on my planner last night and it was showing $89.70 Canadian dollars. So I'm assuming around $75 US?? Problem was, the times available were horrible! Either 8am or 6:30pm or 8:30pm.

In light of the advice above about trying it out first, we'll wait until we're on board to see how it all goes.

The reason the horrible times exist is because it is pretty much used all day (especially sea days) on the non Oasis class ships. So, the only times it is available is in the morning before stand-up and in the evening.
