Rare PaulMCO Posted April 14, 2018 #51 Share Posted April 14, 2018 (edited) Does the visa obtained onboard allow you to overnight in a hotel if on a private tour ? Thanks. It certainly does. Went to Bagan. You get a regular VISA stamp in passport good for a 28 day stay. We got our Indian visas last week in Sydney. Is it your impression that the Indian one is the only one that a lack of would prevent boarding at the start of the segment? There's so much conflicting information on Oman, Jordan, UAE, Israel - especially for those who haven't US passports, and/or arrive by sea, not at an airport.. We are dual British/Australian. Israel -- you are definitely exempt from a Visa. http://mfa.gov.il/MFA/ConsularServices/Documents/VisaRequirements-Tourists.pdf Jordan works on a Visa on arrival basis for most countries (including both Australia and UK). Same with UAE and Oman. Edited April 14, 2018 by PaulMCO

Did you use a tour company to organise everything for that ? Flights, hotel, activities.
Rare PaulMCO Posted April 14, 2018 #53 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Thanks.Did you use a tour company to organise everything for that ? Flights, hotel, activities. A little off topic but will answer.... Myanmar Shalom Tours. Very reputable. Only risk being you must pay in advance and could lose money if ship is late to port due to tides. My suggestion would be to do day 1 in Yangon (Shwedagon at night -- too hot for the day as you are barefoot) . Day 2 early flight to Bagan -- overnight in Bagan Day 3 back to Yangon. Safer bet if this concerns you would be Oceania, but more expensive.Cost was $700 (Shalom) versus $1100 (Oceania) pp
